Owner calls cops when man tries to sell his stolen scuba tank on Craigslist

A man trying to peddle a stolen scuba tank on Craigslist for cheap was busted on Sunday when the real owner discovered his property listed on the online advertising site, police said.

Christopher Logan Lewis, 21, of 870 64th Ave. S,, is charged with dealing in stolen property and is being held on a $20,000 bail at Pinellas County Jail...[Link]

Boat hits two scuba divers near Boca inlet

Two women in their 20s were hit by a boat while scuba diving in the Atlantic Ocean south of the Boca Raton inlet.

The women's injuries were not life threatening, said Bob Nelligan, Boca Raton Fire-Rescue division chief. They were taken to Boca Raton Community Hospital.

The accident occured shortly before 2 p.m. According to the preliminary investigation, the women were snorkling about 100 yard from shore and about 100 yards south of the inlet, when a boat that had left the inlet hit them, Nelligan said.

They were struck by the boat's hull and not the propeller. The operator of the boat immediately stopped and called for emergency help, Nelligan said...[SunSentinel]
